Introduction

The “CONNECT TAIWAN” club was established in 2005 under the auspices under the Ministry of Economics and Institute for Information Industry (III). CONNECT TAIWAN provides a platform for the free and open exchange of knowledge and capital of Taiwan’s entrepreneurs with local and overseas venture capital firms.

 

CONNECT TAIWAN was launched on July 19, 2005, in Taipei 101 Building. Delegates from major R&D Institutes and academics in Taiwan and abroad partook in the celebration. Major delegates (as shown in the above photo, from left to right) included Dr. Lou-chuang Lee (President of National Central University), Dr. G.J. Huang (VP of III), Dr. JS Ke (President/CEO of III), Dr. Mary Walshok (Vice Chancellor of UCSD), Dr. Johnsee Lee (President of ITRI), Dr. Jui-Lien Huang (President of DCB) and Dr. James Hsu (President of THCA).

 

 

Delegates were touching a semicircle shape representing the globe and declaring the launch of CONNECT TAIWAN.

Delegates of CONNECT TAIWAN welcomed representatives from Global CONNECT in 2005 annual meeting held in Taipei, Taiwan.
